The people spoke, I am very proud of my country. While I would never vote for a very liberal candidate, my faith in this country being goo and fair was reinforced.
I had a brief chat with my dearest friend that night ( he is quite the left winger...but I love him like a brother)and he commented on how he was happy and amazed that a black man was elected, I told him that I was not. In that brief moment you can clearly see the difference in outlooks...liberals see America as the problem, conservatives see the promise that is America!
With that in mind let us hope for that brighter future we all seek, and wish the new President elect godspeed for we will be facing many a challenge that will require a steady hand.

Ahh to be a Caudillo
Today shall begin the elevation not of a Pope but what a Pope should be like. I am referring to the man that at first needed a stadium with a temple like background, to rally of more than ONE MILLION of the masses adoring him. Does this not bother you? Granted it is historic in nature, but do we need to adore a man? Are our lives so empty that Hope and Change trump experience and common sense?
Going back to my original thought only demagogues and petty dictators need the adulation of crowds. Oh well let's see if we can gain some common sense in the next election cycle and move a little more center right.
